When Amy joined Pivot Engineers as a technical writing intern in 2021, she didn’t know the first thing about forensic structural engineering. Her time at Pivot has shown her the wonders of construction and the nuances of stability. She takes great pride in the precision of Pivot’s solutions and the reports detailing them. As Pivot’s Communications Lead, she is responsible for editing and producing written materials for the company, including this very website.

Amy graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in May 2023. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Rhetoric and minors in Museum Studies and Digital Humanities.

When not at work, Amy can be found visiting the Austin Public Library, collecting issues of National Geographic, and enjoying living in the Live Music Capital of the World.
